The latest video blogs on PokerStars.tv feature Kevin MacPhee, the winner of EPT Berlin 2010. Kevin MacPhee had to not only outplay a tough group of players, he was also needed to regroup after the event was abruptly interrupted by a group of armed gunmen. Kevin MacPhee qualified for the event in a Poker Stars Satelite and now he is a one million Euros richer. Peter Eastgate has won the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event and is now part of team Poker Stars.net. Peter Eastgate lasted a field of over 5000 players. He is now the youngest player to ever win the world series of poker main event at the age of 22. Beating the previous record of 24 held by Phil Hellmuth.

The final table was delayed 3 months and was later dubbed the “november nine” after the nine players waited for November 11th when play would be resumed. Peter Eastgate had 4-1 odds going into the final table but was able to pull off the victory against Ivan Demidov and took home $9,152,416 for his efforts.

Poker Stars Million Dollar Men Freeroll

To celebrate the six Poker Stars players who made it to the final table of the World Series Of Poker (WSOP), PokerStars.net is throwing daily freerolls where participants will have the chance to go up against the 6th WSOP finalists and take home as much as $100,000 for first place. The daily freerolls start September 27 and will continue until October 17. The EPT(European Poker Tour) still has three more events until the grand final in Monte Carlo, Monaco on April 12-17. The next upcoming event, the Scandinavian Open, gets kicked off today in Copenhagen, Denmark. The buy-in for the event is 50,000 and can it can be watched live on EPTLive.com.

460 players chipped in to create the biggest poker prize pool in Scandinavian history. The large buy-in and nearly €3 million prize pool has attracted some big names to the event.
