Kevin MacPhee had to not only outplay a tough group of players, he was also needed to regroup after the event was abruptly interrupted by a group of armed gunmen. Kevin MacPhee qualified for the event in a Poker Stars Satelite and now he is a one million Euros richer. Poker Stars is about to deal the 40 billionth hand this February and to celebrate they are giving away huge cash prizes. They are also running the largest Sunday Million tournament with a $4 million dollar prize pool!

Players who are dealt the millionth hand will win $40 for every VPP they earned in the last 40 hands played at the poker stars.net table. The promotion will run when they deal the 39,601,000 to 40 billion. On the 40 billionth hand all the players at the table will get $400 per VPP point! The winner of the hand will receive 2x the money which could be worth thousands.

In an effort to give relief help to the people of Haiti Poker Stars is setting up accounts for online donations. Poker Stars has three methods for donating online, and any money donated to Haiti will be matched by Poker Stars. So far the total player donations accumulated on Poker Stars  stands at over $400,000. All the money will be given to the Red Cross so please help contribute to the relief effort in Haiti.

Method 1 – Using the transfer tool in the Poker Stars lobby, transfer funds to the account ‘haiti fund.’
