Poker Stars.net Guaranteed Tournaments Get Bigger

Poker Stars is the largest poker room in the world and they are once again flexing their muscle this time adding millions of dollars to many of their most popular poker tournaments. They are going from $7.5 million to $13 million per week!

Poker Stars is known for their Sunday Millions and the tournament just got bigger with an additional $500,000 dollars added to the guranteed prize pool. Making it a $1,500,000 dollar tournament!

Two other sunday Poker Stars.net tournaments also got additional prize pool money including the Sunday Warm Up now $750k and they have just announced a new $530 weekly No Limit Hold-em tournmaent with a guarantee of $250k (Also the last Sunday of every month the tournament will have a $1,050 buy-in).

Poker Stars 2008 WSOP Satellites

Poker Stars.net has just announced their 2008 WSOP satellites and qualifiers for players looking to win a seat to the 2008 WSOP main event. Satellites are already underway and will be played up until late June. Pstars winners will receive the $10k buy-in and $2.5k spending cash. Players will also get 8 days of hotel stay at Palms Hotel and Casino with free shuttle service and cash bonuses if players make the final table. ($50k for a regular event up to $1 million for the main event…you do have to agree to wear poker stars gear).

There are currently three ways to qualify at Poker Stars.net. You can buy-in to satellites via FPP points. You can buy-in to cash qualifiers and lastly you can win your seat with the steps sit and go’s. Poker stars will be sending over 100+ players to the WSOP main event!

EPT 3 more events untill Monte Carlo

The EPT(European Poker Tour) still has three more events until the grand final in Monte Carlo, Monaco on April 12-17. The next upcoming event, the Scandinavian Open, gets kicked off today in Copenhagen, Denmark. The buy-in for the event is 50,000 and can it can be watched live on EPTLive.com.

460 players chipped in to create the biggest poker prize pool in Scandinavian history. The large buy-in and nearly €3 million prize pool has attracted some big names to the event. The pros coming from pokerstars.net include Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Katja Thater, Tom McEvoy, Bill Chen, Noah Boeken, Luca Pagano and Dario Minieri.

Poker Stars Passport – $250k in Poker Tournament Packages

Poker Stars.net Passport Promotion

Poker Stars is currently running a poker promotion called Poker Stars Passport. They are giving away $250,000 dollars in live tournament packages and also cash prizes to poker players that rank in their tournament leader board.

The top 100 players will play in a poker tournament with the winner receiving a PokerStars Passport to ten big buy-in poker tournaments running from January 2008 to January 2009! Second place will get a EPT Monte Carlo Package and 3rd-9th get $10k, $5k, $3k, $2.5k, $2k, $1.5k and $1k respectively.

They will also have tournaments for players that are 101-200th, 201-500th and 501-1000. They will be playing for a EPT Monte Carlo package and $15k in cash. The tournaments will take place on January 13th at 13:00 ET.

To qualify you will need to play at any poker stars real money poker tournament and rank in the top 1,000 on their December leaderboard.

Caribbean Adventure with Daniel Negreanu

For the next couple of days Poker Stars will be hosting a free tournament that gives players the chance to win a trip to the Caribbean where they will be able to play poker with poker star Daniel Negreanu. The prize package includes an $8,000 buy in, 7 nights accommodations at the Atlantis Resort and Casino, $1,000 cash for travel, and poker training with Daniel Negreanu. The tournament is hosted twice daily once at 6:30 and then again at 9:30PM ET. Along with the grand prize their will be $110,000 up for grabs in cash prizes ranging from $1-600.Once again the tournament is free to enter and all you need to do is go to http://www.pokerstars.net/millions/ and sign up.

Poker Stars Sunday Millions – August 04, 2007 Results

The Poker Stars Sunday millions has just finished with 6567 players registering for the tournament. The tournament paid 900 players with a prize pool of $1,313,400. The tournament went for 10 hours. The respected payouts are 188, 866, $98,373, $70,792, $55,162, $42,160. Although the top 4 finishers made a deal and split the money so each player got 107k, 103k, 90k and one 80k (approximation). I forgot the exact breakdown but it was close to that.  At the time of the deal Omoneyman0 (Westminister) was in 4th place and got the 80k but then by winning the tournament got an additional 30k.

Poker Stars Sunday Millions Bubble

Well it looks like stealurmoney (Upper Malboro) missed the money by one spot! He finished in 901th place missing a pay day of $262. He is the pstars bubble boy for the week…looks like whoever got him out stole his money.

sw6977 (redwood valley) takes home the worst performance in the tournament. Finishing dead last and wasting $215 in near record time. Congrats, maybe try a different hobby.

There was a campaign earlier this year for the Poker Stars Moneymaker Millions Poker Tournament. Poker Stars.net had commercials for it showing Chris Moneymaker’s old boss and friends. This is the first commercial that they aired showing where Chris Moneymaker use to work.

The Poker Stars sunday million results are in, the tournament went for 11 hours and 30 min. The buy-in to the event was $530 and the prize pool was $1,510,500,000 with 3021 players registering. Poker notable Greg Raymer did well and at times was in second place throughout the tournament he finished in 42nd. The top5 places were paid: $263, 582, $133,075, $95,614, $75,525 and $59,211.

Poker Stars Sunday Millions Bubble

Mylo (Carmel Valley) just missed the money finishing in 487th place and being the bubble boy in the tournament… $604 would have been nice…

The biggest loser of the tournament is Kalidh (Vastervik) who did a great job of being the first player out in the tournament. He got 3021 place and a spot on our blog post…I probably spent more time writing this blog post then him in the tournament. Congrats!

Greg Raymer goes out in 42nd

Greg “The Fossilman” Raymer got 42nd place in the Sunday Millions tournament. For his effort he received $4,531.50. He played very well throughout the tournament and was nice enough to talk to fans while playing, answering their questions and comments.

As I type this post the tournament is still being played, it just went over the 10 hour mark. The final table has not been set yet as 12 players remain.

Greg Raymer Sunday Million July 29 2007

Greg Raymer also known as Fossilman is currently playing the sunday millions and 4 hours and 30 min into the tournament he is currently in second place. Greg Raymer has 332,666 chips while the average stack in the tournament has 73,147. Dedin888 is currently in the lead with 332,820 chips. The blinds are currently at 1500/3000 with an ante of 300.

Update

At the 4:38 mark, Greg Raymer took the lead for a couple hands before being bluffed out of a hand and losing the lead falling back to second.
