Peter Eastgate part of PokerStars.net

Peter Eastgate has won the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event and is now part of team Poker Stars.net. Peter Eastgate lasted a field of over 5000 players. He is now the youngest player to ever win the world series of poker main event at the age of 22. Beating the previous record of 24 held by Phil Hellmuth.

The final table was delayed 3 months and was later dubbed the “november nine” after the nine players waited for November 11th when play would be resumed. Peter Eastgate had 4-1 odds going into the final table but was able to pull off the victory against Ivan Demidov and took home $9,152,416 for his efforts.
